Rump with T - 36x36 in. oil on canvas that was inspired by none other than Donald Trump.

I decided to rename “I’m Peached” today when I woke up inspired to write some poetry.

rump with a T

The Lord of the skies is the lord of the flies,
The Lord of the seas hears the fleas and their cries.
He watches the good and the bad, great and small,
And offers his mercy—or so we’re told—to all.

Things seemed pretty good, though the money was tight,
We had more love, more peace, and some sense of what’s right.
But somewhere along came a savior in gold,
With promises glittering, grand and bold.

“Give me your trust, your future, your soul,
I’ll make this whole broken world beautiful!”
And Rump with a T, with his gilded display,
Turned leaders to followers, who just looked away.

Their spines turned to gold, their questions to dust,
Their judgment surrendered, their faith turned to trust.
How could they resist this magnificent god,
Whose golden promises dazzled the mob?

“He’s making us great! He’s making us strong!
He’s fixing the world! What could possibly be wrong?”
So they swallowed the story, believed every word,
While the truth lay forgotten, unseen and unheard.

“Do as I say, never mind what I do.
The rules are for them—not for me, not for you.”
And “grab ’em by the p$$$y”? Well, what can I say?
Somehow, that’s just another forgotten-away day.

So bow to the gold and the throne and the show,
Ignore what you see and believe what you’re told.
For the Lord of the skies may yet judge us all—
But the gilded one’s waiting to answer the call.

And when all that glitters has tarnished to rust,
When the gold turns to rubble and power to dust,
Will the faithful look up? Will they finally see
That a god made of gold is no god to be?
